Another update. No dollar.

How bizarre is it when you buy paid time not because you really want to (though I do) but because you can't think of a cheaper way to check if your mysteriously missing credit card has been looted?

(Incidentally, the card has been and will again be reported lost. I only took the block off as part of an ingenious attempt to try and obtain cash from it regardless of my physical posession of it. Sadly, Western Union is not co-operating. They have now become my arch-nemeses.)

Still. Minor setback. Just means I can't spend much money until I get back home.

In better news: went to see a very amusing show Tuesday night with Mike and Erika, full of vulgar underground stand-up comics. Oh, and slightly less full (two drinks each worth) of alcohol. Bars are frighteningly non-cost-effective.

Spent Wednesday kicking back here, reading Clavell, and playing Super Nintendo. Heh. Suppose I needed it: been out near-constantly since I got here.

Today is no different. Off to visit Julia.

I am, as an aside, spectacularly amused by my consideration of "Into the Lair of the Bondage Queen" as an excellent name for a D&D module.

Doo, I should totally meet you before you leave the city.

I believe it's in the cards. Mike tells me you're having a LAN party Saturday? While my computer is in Edmonton, I'm sure I can make an appearance anyway.

I totally DMed a D&D mission where the chief enemy was a bondage queen. She was an assassin thief, named Chillara Silestra, and she was all for the leather/whips/collars/bondage/pain thing. Quite a fun NPC to play as DM; I totally got to mess with all the PCs and give in to my darkest sides.

Giving in to your darkest sides...
And isn't that what Dungeon Mastery is all about? :P

"Into the Lair of the Bondage Queen"? Really? *ponders* Weird and fetish-y... but I'd play. *grin*

Glad you're having a good time in Vancover. Its a nice city, and I wish I had cause to go there more often. Ah, who am I kidding. I wish I had reason to go at all!

I'm sure the credit card thing will work itself out eventually, hopefully sooner than later though, hmmm?

Who needs reasons? Time is all that's necessary. Well, and money, and/or friends who're willing to put you up...and so on, and so forth.

Not as easy as I thought. Still, fun. :P
