Well, the interview went pretty well. I won't know until tomorrow whether I have the job, but I think my chances are pretty good unless more than one of the other candidates can walk on water and heal the sick. Managing to spin role-playing as a hobby into a positive on a job interview gives one that sort of confidence. Even though I slipped and showed my nnervousness a couple of times.

Ral browbeat my mother into getting a scale for the house again. She's actually been better than I expected about not constantly weighing herself on it. Then agaion, that might just be the cramps making it terribly unpleasant for her to stand up. But I digress.

In any case, I took it upon myself to weigh myself on it - I haven't done so at all since my last surgery, which was...what, five, six years ago?

I could have forgone it, as it turns out - I haven't gained a pound since then. 120 even. Ye gods, I am a stick.

I will offer this dating advice article (link courtesy of aquarionics) without further comment. As he says, it wouldn't do to push the point. :)

Also: I cannot praise the song I'm currently listening to enough. It's like MDB is channeling Radiohead or something bizarre like that, but it works perfectly.

Re: Word.
One could say that it's a pity that such isn't more widely realised, but then again, those that already do know tend to be a cut above. So it's win-win. ;)

Spoken from your vast experience, yes? *grins*

May it continue to be proved right.
