Phew. That was a busy weekend. Likely needed, though. But I'm sure you all grow tired of my repeating that.

Mom took us to a birthday party for a friend of hers that we didn't know, and boy, was it awkward when the party turned out to be more than half a prayer service! *laughs* Ral and I both had to leave early, though: she had to work, and I, of course, had other plans.

Said plans basically came down to a lot of geek chatter, a lot of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (of course, and it was welcome. And good as always, though the sheer expense and hassle required to play multiplayer continues to piss me off mightily), plenty of snacks, a bit of beer (one each, and only after andur had left. Incidentally, I once again must remind myself that I am Not A Beer Person. Bleah. Gimme a cocktail any day.), some Soul Calibur, some anime - but, admittedly, more of Drawn Together (which rocks, though admittedly I keep seeing the same episode whenever I'm there. Damn my not having digital cable...), and Robot Chicken, which is this delightful Adult Swim short that vlosk and Tommy had to browbeat me into seeing because they were so adamant about its goodness that I didn't trust them. More fool I. Who knew Seth Green could do more than act? :D

We finally gave up on FFCC about 4:45 AM and dragged our asses to bed, woke up about noon and had breakfast, then watched the aforementioned Robot Chicken before we split up. Andy and I helped his brother get a new MP3 player while I hunted blank CDs, and then I split off myself to go hunting for the NWN expansions I need to buy. Which I didn't manage to find, though EB says they'll likely be in around Wednesday or Thursday. There has been surprising demand for a re-release of a, what, three, four-year old RPG? Granted, it is a delight, and, after all, I'm looking for it.

Ate at City Centre, then finally got home about sixish. Kicked around for a while, chatting and settling back into my little rut, until here I am. I will likely have more to say tomorrow, but for now I will bugger off and get some sleep.

Incidentally, for those of you at all interested in my sister's romantic tribulations, it appears the persistence of her would-be Romeo has won her heart. Of course, the fact that she appears to have used their apparent breakup as leverage to break him into more acceptable and attentive behaviour (or is at least perfectly prepared to spin it that way) does not comfort me. Nor do the remaining underlying issues in their relationship, biggest of which being, of course, that their relationship will very soon be going staggeringly long-distance.

I suppose I should be hopeful for her - but really, I think the boy doesn't deserve her. Then again, my opinion is not the important one here. Which is good, because I've hated all of her boyfriends. I suppose mere disrespect is a step up from open loathing.

Silly boy:P
Seth Green is also the voice of Chris in the Family Guy. Stop being such a philistine and watch more tv :P Although I should talk. I've been encouraged to watch Robot Chicken repeatedly but haven't gotten around to it. More of a time thing than anything else. *sighs* I want more hours in the day dammit.

Re: Silly boy:P
He does more voices than just Chris.

Re: Silly boy:P
I'm not a philistine! *dodges slingshots* I just prefer to be entertained in my own time. :D

Still, Robot Chicken is high-lar-ious.

Man. I sucked at Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Hard.

Am I the only one who's never gotten to watch Robot Chicken now? Harrumph!

Meh. We weren't any great shakes either. It's a game that really takes a good team, I think.

And as for Robot Chicken - BitTorrent Is Your Friend. :D

Robot chicken = teh awesome. Go, watch, now.

Its also surprisingly short, so time is hardly an excuse! As for FF; it was fun, but damn if I didn't get my ass kicked once too often.
