Funny little snippet from yesterday's chat with spaz_own_joo about Horribly Complicated Girl Situations (times two!):

[17:39] Dallan Invictus: Resistance would be impolite. Please wait to be assimilated. Pour l'assimilation en francais, appuyer sur le 2.:
In any event, now I have a double helping of wanting what I can't really have. Headcasery ensues. :)
[17:40] Pony Slaystation:
You should just get into heroin.

I don't follow your logic.

Less of a demanding mistress.

Maybe you had to be there. Still, I laughed.

Incidentally, I'd like to plug Mike's new track, Deinterlaced, as well as his older tracks that can be found here. Especially you, Kim - I think you might like some of his music.

While I'm on the music front, I must sing the praises of Bif Naked's new album, Superbeautifulmonster. I'm very annoyed that I won't be able to make her (or David Usher's on Sunday, come to think. Damn this poverty thing.) show next weekend, but the album itself is wonderful. Vintage angry-girl rock in the vein of Hole or Sleater-Kinney, and I love hearing her voice, especially in the songs Abandonment, Funeral of a Good Girl (do I ever want to be the guy she's singing to in that one!), and Ladybug Waltz, along with her cover of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters.

So the fiance is settling in. Mildly annoying, as always, but I have the patience of a stone. I have the patience of a stone. I have the patience of a stone. He's made noises about wanting to go out with me - to do what? I dunno, and I'm not sure what to suggest, but I imagine I'll go along with the idea a time or two. Just for the sake of peace.

This weekend has been very relaxing, after the busy end to my last week. Said relaxing has certainly been helped by the greatness that is Questionable Content, a simply delightful story-and-character based webcomic that I identify with far too much for my own good.

It had me hooked at the Second Law of Sexual Dynamics strip, which I was linked to, and then proceeded to read the entire 399-strip archive in one night, choking back uproarious laughter the whole way, and then subscribing to the RSS feed so I wouldn't miss another one. Give it a shot!

Tomorrow, the eternal hunt for job opportunities begins again. I'm not sure what more I can be doing, but...hmph. Half the summer gone already. I've learned my lesson. Next time, start looking in January instead of in April. Bah!

Heh... We discovered the same strip the same day through different means and both read the entire archive that night. Weird.
Was a wonderful strip and I refrained from chocking back my laughter.

Gay robot relationships, evil barristra's, stachatory rape: what more could you want!

I want to make the "Work Harder or we will fly you into the sun" poster into an icon. It was beautiful.

Didn't I link you to that comic a couple of months ago? When you said you'd "get around to it" ;)

Go compliment him, dear? :P I'm sure he'd be glad to hear it.
