Remember...

Things I need to do this weekend:
  • Do laundry.
  • Do dishes.
  • Take out garbage and recycling.
  • Read for Tuesday's Foreign Policy midterm and Friday's Philosophy exam.

Things I need to not do this weekend:
  • Start playing Civilization 4. At all. Because there's no such thing as playing "a little" Civilization.
There's either no Civilization, or way, way too goddamned much Civilization. "Oh fuck, the sun is coming up" levels of Civilization. Especially when you use the Marathon game-length introduced in the newest patch. You'd think I'd know this by now. God, not even WoW is this addictive.

Barring a complete self-destruct this term, which given my recent mood is ridiculously unlikely, my transfer to Arts has been approved effective at the end of this semester, and the faculty has confirmed that I only need 30 more credits to graduate - the 6 credit Fine Arts requirement, 18 more credits in Poli Sci, and 6 more of my choice - which means one more year at full course load, and graduating in Spring 2007.

Once again having an actual plan is a really welcome thing. I could get used to it.

Apparently, my mom's friends have found me a fridge, they just need to arrange to get it here, hopefully this weekend. Another really welcome thing - I was missing the whole "dairy" thing, and dating a lactating woman in order to get my fix was really not in the cards. ;)

My mouse is dying a slow and agonising death. Mice are cheap, so this is not so bad. The problem is that in doing so, I will be hard-pressed not to succumb to the lure of adding more RAM to my system as well. Oh, well. RAM is comparatively cheap too, I'm told.

ETA: When Mr. Label is not properly filled out, Mr. Main Circuit Breaker Panel is Not Your Friend.

ETFA: Well, I have a fridge now. All I can say is - I don't know how she expects anyone short of God Himself to get a range down those stairs.

[D]ating a lactating woman in order to get my fix was really not in the cards.

That kind of brings a whole new meaning to the term "sweater cows".

Actually, I would say it brought the old meaning to the term. :P

And this after you'd done such a good job swearing off Football Manager. :P

Mr. Main Circuit Breaker Panel is so misunderstood
I can't believe you went there with the lactating woman thing. ewwww. ;)

Interestingly, the fellow on my floor who got me hooked on bloodlines is now hooked on civilization 4, so you are not the first one I've heard say '"Oh fuck, the sun is coming up" levels of Civilization.' :*)

Fine arts requirement? ooOOooo. Are we talking classics 110 and history 110, (both easy but evil) or something drama drama? Either way, awesome!

You need RAM. You waaaaant RAM

You serpent in the garden, you...
Someone was going to go there. Call it a pre-emptive strike.

I have, in fact, successfully managed to avoid playing Civ all weekend. And also avoided placing an order for an extra 512MB, or, God forbid, 1GB of RAM. Go me.

More the drama/art history/film studies/music stuff - I already have my history requirement, apparently. I may take more HIST as an option, just because I <3 history. :) Besides, I'm taking HIST 110 _this_ term. I know I'm not your stalking target anymore, but do try and pay attention. :P
