Staying up all night to watch the ten House, M.D. episodes left in my downloaded first season was arguably not the best way to start a productive weekend. On the other hand, it removed my most persistent distraction for the next several days, allowed me to watch one of my favourite fictional characters actually develop and show evidence of a heart, and nurtured my seething contempt for the vast majorrity of humankind.

So I'm going to call that a win.

Further, I'm going to go to sleep, wake up in several hours, and continue reading about the Byzantine Empire in preparation for Happy Fun Term Paper. Do not taunt Happy Fun Term Paper.

-D.

I actually liked doing the Byzantine Empire in World History. One of my favorite units. Perhaps that's just because it was one of my best test grades in that class. :( I am so transperent. I don't even remember much about them, except they only had two worthwhile emperors...Justinian and some other dude, and the rest were kind of like...lame. Also, the Mongols crushed them in Constantinople. YES. I'm probably screwing everything up. But I thought it would be fun to see whether I actually retain anything from school.
