I don't know what I think of the title, but I suppose it's really beside the point.

Silent Siege

Our souls, our vessels,
Can only stay empty,
By the greatest of efforts,
By the stoutest of walls,
By the stubbornest of wills.

For Nature abhors and fills,
Vacuums material or ethereal,
By the ceaseless battering of waves,
By the tireless patience of the immortal,
By the guileless whispers of our hearts.

Why do I see this poem as the lyrics to some dark, moody, goth-rock? Very nifty though - I hope you get into those english courses!

Because I listen to way too much moody goth rock, maybe? :D
