Last Of The Summer Whine

Tomorrow morning is the start of my fifth (and hopefully final) undergrad year. (And my student loan is still Pending With Reviews. WTF, Student Finance?) So how'd I spend my last two days of freedom? Washing dishes and playing Unreal Tournament Classic againstdoctorcomputer. Truly, the stuff of legends. (Well, most of those games were actually pretty close!) That said, it'd be nice to get more of us in on the latter of those. For old time's sake.

Summer has never been my season, it seems, and this one was no exception. Despite my whining, bitching facade, I'm quite glad to be going back. Even if my very first day back includes my ends-at-9-fucking-30-PM Studies In Witchcraft And The Occult class. I am curious, and I daresay excited, about it, but damnit, couldn't it have been slightly less cruelly scheduled?

On the bright side - by the time I'm back, I'll have the House season opener waiting for me, and no class the next day until 12:30 PM. Squee!

I'd be up for some UT classic sometime. I re-installed it today on my vista box as a result of reading about you and Nathan's game. I had forgotten how much fun massive last man standing games against hordes of godlike bots in insta-gib mode were...

Bah, forgot to write the obvious comment about witchcraft and the occult arts being typically performed during the night...

Yes, Instagib, hurrah! Combine that with DM-Morpheus and wayyyyy too many bots and you've got a recipe for instant Internet enterainment!

Oh, Lord, Instagib on an overfilled Morpheus. It still haunts me. Staying alive for more than five seconds is a badge of honour.

Relig 274 is amazing. The 3 hours just absolutely flies right by, and then suddenly it is time to go home and you are just sitting there, confused as to where all the class time went because surely that lecture wasn't 3 hours long.

Oh, and the first class will likely not be 3 hours. My first class was an hour and a quarter.

Yes, yes, so you keep saying. ;) I suppose I'll know myself in about...three hours, now. Though yes, the odds are there won't be enough today to decide anything. Luckily the add/drop deadline isn't a week, like it used to be.

Not that I really intend to drop the course unless the professor is in the habit of randomly choosing students to be sacrificed to entities from the Great Dark Beyond to feed his own eldritch powers.

Wahhh I want to watch House! Unfortunately we don't get our own internet hooked up until friday and I really really don't want to attempt downloading the torrent from one of our neighbours' sporadic wireless connections. They usually have enough trouble loading gmail. :(

I promise I won't gloat too loudly. To you, anyway.

Still, yay for getting Internet again? Did you two finally move, then? I must have missed reading about it.

I caved in and watched House after all last night. Mmmm... House... *drools on the table* and then chased it down with a couple hours of Will & Grace. I've turned into such a tv nut lately.

So, judging by the class you have, maybe that voodoo doll won't be the last one of you.
