Two Down

I'm not sure whether or not I'm happy with this paper. I ascribe this uncertainty mainly to not being sure what the hell the Religion professor actually wants. Also to just barely sneaking in around the page requirement (required is 8 pages, my paper is 8 pages less about a line or two), and reflecting on the two-page handout she gave us that sternly admonished us to meet that requirement, along with a bunch of other ones that gave the impression that she's rather a stickler for style and such things.

Not to mention that D- from the first assignment still haunting me. Please, not to mention it. :)

At least my midterm grade was decent (a B-), so I may not be measuring my neck for ropes in December, regardless of what happens here.

And now, to bed. And then, to class. And then, back home to work on the last of this week's hideous crop of papers. I'll have to think of something to do Friday night to celebrate having escaped it.

ETA: Sleeping in the next day until 10:30 AM was not what I had in mind. :|

I vote Friday night at Suzy Queues with Cunningham.

And take it from the expert in paper-padding: nobody, NOBODY notices the difference between double-spacing and 2.2-spacing. That can make all the difference when you have a page rather than a word count requirement.

Biol 208 instructors notice. If they think you haven't formatted correctly, they ask you to e-mail it to them, and then they check it, and print it off themselves to compare to the original you handed in.

Well, to be fair, she did to her Bachelor's degree in English. Or was it a masters? Or maybe both? Anyway, she gave us an entire hour lecture on the proper use of colons, semi-colons and dashes. I'm sure if you can use those tiny bits properly, you'll be fine. :)
