Tick, tick, tick...

Two days left before I leave New York at a frankly ungodly hour Friday morning. I think I will be happy to come home. There's only a limited amount of time I can spend around my sister before I start losing all faith in the female half of the species, and those of you who know me best know that's a place I really don't like to be. :)

That said, one of these days I'll have to come here to actually go see more of the cool stuff in the city. First time I was badly placed and otherwise motivated, second time I was decently placed but broke and staying with someone arguably more antisocial and lazy than I am. (apparently being harassed by brazen American men has chasnged her for the...undetermined)

Perhaps the third time will be the charm. I like the City, that much is obvious. It's the Axis Mundi, the cynosure of the continent, both frightening and alluring at once - which is probably why it will retain the mental associations that have made this trip something of a mixed blessing.

I probably couldn't live here, though. I'm not ruthless enough.

I've always wanted to visit New York - if Sex In The City has taught me anything it seems like a hell of a place to be. I can't wait to hear stories when you get back.

Happy traveling.
