I am very much an apartment person, and a downtown person. While this could possibly be attributed to watching too much Seinfeld in my formative years (Friends being unsuited for my discerning ten-year-old tastes :D), a better reason's decided to manifest itself this week.

Simply put, in areas where people drive most of the time, people don't salt their sidewalks. Where people don't salt their sidewalks and driveways, "freezing rain" translates to "mortal peril" for me, cane pick (thanks, honey) or no cane pick. I've lost entirely too much class this week to barely being able to leave my house, and this irritates me. Hopefully it won't be a problem next winter, but we'll see.

On the bright side, today, we only have the comparably pedestrian impediment of a foot and a half of snow, so I'm going out to run some errands and then go see the girlfriend. We're expecting another blizzard either tonight or tomorrow, but if I get snowed in and can't come home tomorrow, well, that's really just too damn bad, isn't it? ;)

Being snowed in somewhere with someone, with no electricity and nothing to do for a day or three? Gosh, thoughts like that have never occured to me before. If it happened to me, I do hope I wouldn't get snowed in with someone who harbored questionable intentions.

I don't think even you could question my intentions. Perhaps especially you couldn't. :P
