Bring On The Gargoyles

So I was on my way to visit my mother and sister for dinner, and I found myself fiddling with my MP3 player in one hand, and web-browsing on my cell phone in my other hand, like something out of Snow Crash reimagined by John Woo, and then as I looked around the bus it suddenly struck me how silly I must look.  Or, perhaps, that I only felt silly because of the company I was in, and I was more used to surroundings where this would be perfectly normal.

I think we have interesting times ahead for our relationship to our technology.

Very nice. It's a very good point, we are the first generation where connection to people and media is essential at almost all times. This is leading to some interesting directions.
