Just that every so often, I'll see a bird land next to me, so close I could reach for it with my cane if I chose, and stay there, unafraid, until I leave for my class.
Or a chipmunk will dart across my path in front of a building that almost looks a couple of centuries out of date.
All in the middle of the city. It does the heart good.
It's times like this that make me wish I carried my camera around more often. And that Ral didn't constantly take pictures of herself and kill the batteries the day I buy them.
